Don’t Cry…I’m Here was visited by a Star Tribune reporter to do a story on our charity. Here is a display I set up for the reporter. I will post a link to the story as soon as it is published.
Don’t Cry…I’m Here is featured in a story by Arrive Ministries, a refugee resettlement organization located in Richfield, Minnesota. This is a very touching article . Make sure you click on the link to read the full article and see more photos.
We are reaching right to the heart of our mission. Thank you to each and every one of our DCIH members.
Here are some photos of our delivery to The Center For Victims of Torture from yesterday. We just had a short visit with them, because we had to get moving along to our 2nd delivery of the day.
Enjoy the photos!
Here are some photos of our delivery to Arrive Ministries yesterday. Had a very nice talk, the Arrive Ministries Communications Director did an interview with me….and I learned more about the refugee process. This is an amazing learning process for me…. as I learn about the process that the families go through, and the processes of the resettlement offices. The more I learn….the more my passion for this work intensifies.
Enjoy the photos!
Here are some photos of today’s delivery of Doll, Buddy Bear and Teen Totes to The Center for Victims of Torture. CVT does the work that most of us could not do….and that is to help these families through the torture they have suffered. They listen and support torture sufferers through everything they have gone through. My heart does flip-flops when we make a delivery to CVT.
Jagmeet Singh (Mr. Jagmeet is a former lawyer, a human rights activist and now the Leader of Canada’s Democratic Party) is visiting Welcome Place — at Manitoba Interfaith Immigration Council – Welcome Place. With him is Rita Chahal the Executive Director of Welcome Place — Manitoba Interfaith Immigration Council showing him 2 of the doll totes we delivered to them last fall. Jagmeet is visiting MIIC-Welcome Place to understand more fully the refugee work that MIIC-Welcome Place is doing. I was so excited to see that Don’t Cry…I’m Here came out in their meeting as a part of their refugee process. We are a notable part of their process….notable enough to familiarize Mr. Jagmeet with our mission and our work.
DICH is finding it’s way around the world.
